Lake Of the Ozarks 09’

This past summer has been one of the greatest trips my whole life. This summer I went to the Lake of the Ozarks with Ashley which is an experience in itself because I have never went on a trip with a friend ever before.

We stayed there for five days with her grandparents. The grandparent’s condo was Hawaiian theme. The bathrooms were really decorative. The walls had fake grasses the color forest green sticking out of a vase. The shower curtains were dark green with Hawaiian flowers. There was a fake palm tree in the corner and the shower head had a monkey on it. In the kitchen there were pictures of flowers and Hawaiian dancers. The living room had a big cabinet with all different kinds of accessories to go with the Hawaiian theme. All the different trees and flowers made the theme really stick out and give it some power.

The week that we were there it was really nice around the 70’s. We could do many activities because it was so nice. We went tubing, fishing, shopping, and relaxing at the pool. The tubing was really fun. We had a single tube, double tube, and sit down tube. The first day we tried out the double tube. We got slashed around a lot and flew everywhere! The second day we tried the single tube. That one was really fun but it came with pain. This single tube was really small and if you turned any sort of corner you would make an air jump and fling off like a fly. The next day we tried out the sit down tube. That one the most fun. I liked it because water was slashing up in your face so you couldn’t see when you were going to hit jumps and fly up. Ashley’s grandma sat on the back of a Seado which is something similar to a jet ski. She took probably something close to 200 pictures of us. There were many action pictures of us in the air.

We also went shopping, we picked the worst day there so we wouldn’t ruin our fun days. I remember going to an old antique store. This store was creepy. Where ever you looked there were animal heads popping out of the wall. We went to a tattoo parlor and got a henna tattoo. That was pretty cool. We also went to the outlet mall. It was huge! It had around one hundred fifty stores.

We went to many restraunts when we were there. One was Captain Ron’s. We got a picture with the pirate and by the way that same pirate came up and scared me. He jumped me! The floors were wooden and it looked just like a seafood shack. They had an outside where bands came and played and it was really fun and relaxing. They had every type of food, including pizza, seafood, Hamburgers, and a lot more. We got a pizza and i remember that it was really good! The next place we went to was the seafood shack. It had a place where you could feed catfish. One of them was way extremely cool! It was a very large, goldfish it was about the size of a catfish. That was awesome to see.

One of the most touching moment of this vacation was when me and Ashley went onto the dock and watched the sunset and the calming waters. The sunsets were the most pretty ever. They were orange and fading into a light red and pink. The boats that were out for the night had really relaxing music playing. Lake of the Ozarks 09’ will be one of the most exciting, memorable moments and time in my life. ( I want to know what is working, and what I should change.)

Anne Frank Found Poem

I was wondering what things I did well with this poem, and what i need to fix up?
E M O T I O N

In the darkness,
Anne’s voice comes to us again,
The days aren’t so bad
Our
P r o t e c to r s
We call,
Them
Mr. Kraler
Meip,
I only want some fun though
Someone to laugh and
C L O W N
With.
After you’ve sat
Still
All day,
And hardly
Move
You’ve got to have some
F U N
